Fergie

No the topic of this blog is not the singer Fergie but a much more famous Fergie that lives right here in Columbia, SC. Dr. Sinclair Ferguson, or as he is affectionately known in our circle, Fergie Ferg. I think one of the youth came up with that.

Yesterday, the sermon was phenomenal. I often want to leave immediately from the sermon to be by myself and reflect over what has just been said. I am not one for retention unless it is immediately thought over again.

On the way out of the church, I was walking through the side door towards Lady street and Dr. F was standing in the doorway. He said, "I'll suck in and maybe you can pass by." I replied with something like, "I am not that big, I'll fit." But what I really wanted to do and say was, "Suck it in buddy!" And punch him in the gut-- ever so lightly. I am sure had I done this, that I would have gotten a big laugh out of him but probably not out of the little old church ladies trying to make it to their cars....
